David Bandola MD
A North Jersey native, Dr. Bandola attended DePaul Catholic and graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Biology. After obtaining his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Bandola completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Columbia University Medical Center where he had the honor of serving as Chief Resident. He furthered his training at Columbia University and completed a Clinical Fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine. During his fellowship training, Dr. Bandola was a visiting fellow at the world renowned MD Andersen Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, where he was able to expand upon his interventional skills and management of pain associated with malignant disease.
After nearly a decade at Columbia University Medical Center serving as Assistant Clinical Professor educating medical students, residents, and clinical fellows, Dr. Bandola returned to North Jersey and founded NJISC in the Fall of 2014 to address the care needs of his hometown community. He practices all aspects of Interventional Spine and Pain, with a special interest in sports related pain syndromes, and advanced interventional procedures such as intradiscal and percutaneous disc techniques, vertebroplasty, and implantable devices and spinal cord stimulators. Dr. Bandola's unique treatment philosophy focuses on decreasing pain and restoring function so that patients may be able to do those activities they love and enjoy.
Dr. Bandola is dual board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Medicine. He has multiple academic presentations to his credit, has lectured numerous times over the years on a wide array of topics, and has been published in both peer reviewed journals and textbooks. Dr. Bandola continues to further his knowledge and training to this day at national academic meetings and workshops. Above all, Dr. Bandola puts the care and needs of his patients at the top of his career priorities.
In his free time, Dr. Bandola still participates in sports, weight training, and various amateur race events. He also enjoys the outdoors and skiing with his wife and 3 young children.
